About Our Beds:
Level 1 and Level 2 Beds have a maximum exposure time of either 12 or 20 minutes and have a combination of both UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays are the browning rays found naturally in the sun while UVB rays are the reddening rays that are found more prominently in the sun. You need both to develop a base tan. A base tan can be developed using one of these units in as little as 5 sessions, depending on your skin type.
The Bronzing Bed has a maximum exposure time of 15 minutes and contains mostly UVA rays with trace UVB (enough for melanin production in the skin) and built in reflectors, which allow you to tan deeper and darker. These rays allow your tan to last longer than it would by using only the Level 1 & Level 2 beds and a base tan can often be seen within the first visit. This unit is used for maintenance after you have developed your base tan and is the perfect bed for hard-to-tan clients.
The Suncapsule stand up unit has a maximum exposure time of 10 minutes. Its hexagon shape with staggered lamp panels allows the user to tan completely from head to toe without the “white spots” commonly seen from the use of horizontal units. This is also a mostly UVA ray unit with trace UVB rays and allows you to develop a base tan within one visit. This unit is also very comfortable because of the circulation of air that is forced through from the bottom to the top using a high-powered exhaust fan located just overhead.
